Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP)’s ‘Biosigns’ a UAE AI-Powered Health Scan has turned smartphones into health monitors and you can check heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels and more by just recording a 50-second face video.

It sounds great and futuristic, right? Well, it has become now a reality to monitor your health.

According to a report, MoHAP has introduced an AI-powered system ‘Biosigns,’ that has turned smartphones and tablets into advanced health monitoring tools. Now, you don’t need to visit hospitals or expensive lab tests and you can check with just a simple video scan.

How It Works

Marta Pinto, CTO of Sensing Evolution Group—has collaborated with MoHAP to develop this project to develop a health tool that is too easy for a use. Now, if you are living in UAE, you can use this device by entering basic details like your name, age, weight, height, and usual blood pressure. Then, you will have to record a 50-second video of your face.

It is equipped with an advanced AI algorithms kick that analyzes subtle skin color changes and blood flow patterns to obtain vital health metrics. The App generates a detailed report about your heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, stress index, HbA1c levels, cholesterol, and hemoglobin within seconds. It sounds Pretty impressive, right?

Traditional tests involve multiple hospital trips and long wait times but this smart app provides a budget-friendly alternative. The interesting thing is that it is compatible with various mobile devices and web browsers. It is also integrated with the UAE’s unified health record system and approved health applications.

Pinto said that this technology will reduce wait times for medical test, ensuring healthcare more accessible and efficient. Now, you will not require routine lab visits or long processing times.

Transforming Healthcare

Abdullah Ahli, acting assistant undersecretary for the support services sector, has shed light on the project’s role in advancement of UAE’s healthcare. He has termed it a major step toward preventive and proactive healthcare. He said that it will bring improvement in service quality and strengthen digital health systems while promoting health awareness.” UAE residents will be able soon to use this tool in personal healthcare.
