I was just planning to visit some natural place in Islamabad on Sunday, the off day when I like to discover the stunning beauty of nature. According to famous poet Wordsworth, the divine lies in Nature. So, I laced my hiking boots and reached Trail 5 when the first rays of sunlight kissed the Margalla Hills.

Though the streets of Islamabad were quiet and nature looked like making the people wake up with its first ray of sun, but my heart was filled with excitement to feel the joys of nature in Trail 5—a path that every local hiker and nature enthusiast likes to explore.

Trail 5 Islamabad that is much known for its lush greenery, scenic viewpoints, and serene ambiance, isn’t just a hike. But it’s an experience, a retreat from the bustling city into the tranquil embrace of nature.

A Place for Plant and Bird Species

Researchers from the Pakistan Wildlife Foundation have revealed that this is a home for over 300 plant species, 250 bird species, and a variety of mammals that included barking deer and leopards.

During my hike, I had found a pair of golden orioles that were fluttering among the trees and a curious rock agama basking in the sun.

You can find out also horses and bikers to ride there. These animals are one of the most beautiful you will enjoy while looking at them.

Moreover, there are some small gardens where you will find small plants. The CDA had managed these gardens to grow some plants that add more beauty to Trail 5.
