The National Pavilion UAE is going to showcase its latest “Pressure Cooker,” exhibition at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
The exhibition will show how architecture and food production are interacted in the UAE to build sustainable and self-sufficient food systems.
Pressure Cooker, the exhibition will start from May 10 to November 23, 2025 with main focus on arid environments.
It sheds light on the UAE’s food-growing infrastructure and both old and new farming methods, from traditional agriculture to high-tech greenhouses.
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture, said Pressure Cooker highlights the role of architecture in food security and climate resilience.
Azza Aboualam’s research, says that it achitecture can help tackle food scarcity by following existing systems and new approaches.
UAE participated in La Biennale 2025 and continues to push architectural innovation.The UAE Pavilion has attracted international recognition.
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has launched programme nearly two years ago, that is now 85% complete aimed at pushing country’s digital financial transformation.
The FIT Programme is aimed at boosting financial inclusion, payment innovation, and helping create a cashless society.
Fintech is a big focus, too. Abdulla Mashaal, head of open banking at Emirates NBD said this investment in time, effort, and money and will help the fintech sector grow 10 to 15% year on year.
