Dubai Municipality has launched an emergency evacuation system for people of determination at Al Mamzar Beach. This move supports Dubai’s goal of being a leader in inclusivity.
The system includes special headphones for people with visual impairments. These headsets provide clear directions to evacuation sites. They also send vibrations to alert people with hearing impairments in case of an emergency.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Utilities Agency, said this initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to public health, safety, and accessibility for all.
The municipality has also improved emergency measures in training centers for people of determination. A new guide and tracking device help them navigate different areas. Sensors installed in key locations notify users of their position within the center.
A tracking system at reception ensures their location is known in case of an emergency.
