Ras Al Khaimah Sees 30% Surge in Indian Visitors

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) is going to offer complimentary visas for Indian groups aimed at booking at least a two-night stay in any hotel.

A group of at 100 guest per night can avail this offer. The objective of this initiative is to gain a 30% growth in Indian arrivals this year,” RAKTDA stated.

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) received 25,493 Indian travelers in 2024 and hopes a further 30% increase in visitors this year.

Ras Al Khaimah is considered to be the UAE’s sixth-largest city and had launched a special initiative of attractive foreign visitors. These initiatives included free visas for MICE which included Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions. The wedding events were also part of this scheme aimed at attracting more Indian tourists.

The authority had launched a program in July 2024 until March 2025. This scheme offers Indian groups incentives to host their celebrations or corporate events in the city.

What’s Driving Factor Behind Tourism Boom?

RAKTDA CEO Raki Phillips had attributed different factors to this growth. These factors included:
✅ New hotels and resorts
✅ More international events
✅ Improved connectivity to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport
✅ Strong marketing campaigns
✅ Over 2,200 global activities across 70 cities

Ras Al Khaimah had achieved a new tourism record of receiving 1.28 million overnight visitors In 2024 registering which showed an increase of 12% in tourism revenue. It also registered a 15% increase in MICE visitors.

RAKTDA has offered incentives to attract more tourists aimed at establishing Ras Al Khaimah as a premier future destination.
