The Jeddah Corniche that is also well known as the Jeddah Waterfront, is a 30 km coastal resort area along the Red Sea.

It also features a King Fahd’s Fountain that is believed to be the highest fountain in the world. The area has also lot of facilities like restaurants, retail outlets, hotels, a cultural center, and water dancing fountains, blossoming gardens, and fountains.

King Fahd’s Fountain is one of the most iconic landmarks in Jeddah that has a lot of attraction for visitors to the city. Known as the world’s tallest fountain, it shoots water up to a height of 312 meters (1,024 feet) and seems to be touching to the sky.

Key Highlights of King Fahd’s Fountain

It pumps water at speeds of up to 375 km/h (233 mph) that is pumped by several massive pumps. They ensure the water column that reaches its awe-inspiring height.

At night, the fountain presents a dazzling spectacle, with 500 high-intensity spotlights to illuminate the cascading water. The lights add a magical aura to Jeddah’s skyline.

The fountain uses seawater from the Red Sea instead of freshwater in a bid to ensure environmental sustainability. It maintains breathtaking operation.

The fountain operates year-round, but if you are visiting this place, you must go during evenings time and special occasions. It’s fully lit against the backdrop of the starry sky. As visitors you can enjoy the view from the Jeddah Corniche. It provides the perfect vantage point for photographs and relaxation.
